German postal and logistics group DHL has agreed to acquire Venipak, a parcel delivery company operating in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland. The acquisition will allow DHL to establish its own local logistics network across the Baltic region.The transaction, whose value has not been disclosed, is subject to regulatory approval. Venipak will continue operating under its existing brand, while integration into DHL’s logistics network will take place gradually.According to DHL, the Baltic states are among the fastest-growing e-commerce regions in Europe. Over the next two years, the group plans to invest in Venipak’s employees, expand its parcel locker network, increase sorting capacity at key terminals and upgrade IT infrastructure. (ICE VARSAVIA)
