Indonesia’s Ministry of Industry is strengthening standardization and quality assurance in the fertilizer sector to improve industrial competitiveness and support national food security. Indonesia's Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita emphasized that implementing product standards and quality assurance is not only about regulatory compliance but also a strategic measure to increase market trust and enhance the competitiveness of Indonesian fertilizer products in both domestic and international markets. To support this initiative, Pontianak Industrial Standardization and Services Agency (BSPJI) collaborated with PT Garuda Mas Borneo to accelerate fertilizer certification, improve product quality through Indonesian National Standards (SNI), and expand testing, certification, and training services. Officials highlighted that standardization ensures product quality, safety, and consistency, while also helping businesses meet certification requirements more effectively.
