Indonesia is preparing a IDR 5 million (about US$280) incentive for each electric motorcycle purchase, but the program is still awaiting a regulation from the Finance Ministry before implementation can begin. Indonesia's Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said the Industry Ministry is fully prepared to execute the scheme once the required regulation is issued, although he could not confirm when the incentive will officially take effect. The government is also discussing which electric motorcycle brands will qualify for the incentive, involving the Industry Ministry, Finance Ministry, and Danantara Indonesia. Finance Minister of Indonesia Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa previously proposed the subsidy as part of efforts to accelerate electric vehicle adoption.
