Kazakhstan's construction volume rises 15.3% in Jan-JulyConstruction volume in Kazakhstan reached 5.061 trillion tenge in January-July 2026, up 15.3% from the same period last year, the National Statistics Bureau of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms said.Civil engineering projects accounted for the largest share of construction work at 2.734 trillion tenge, followed by non-residential buildings at 1.503 trillion tenge and residential buildings at 825 billion tenge.In January-July 2026, total housing completions rose 3.9% year-on-year to 9.746 million square meters, with apartment buildings up 9.2% (6.546 million sq m) and individual homes down 3.9% (3.158 million sq m).Some 19,100 new buildings were completed in the reporting period, including 17,328 residential and 1,772 non-residential properties. The list also includes 32 schools, 32 preschools and six outpatient clinics.Kazakhstan's population is about 20.5 million. (ICE ALMATY)
