[SINGAPORE] The number of deals in South-east Asia in 2026 is on the rise, particularly in the energy infrastructure space, said industry watchers and investment bankers. That includes the areas of power generation, infrastructure and data centres, they told The Business Times. Deal value surged 2.5 times year on year to US$9.2 billion in Q1 2026, based on data from Chinese investment firm CGSI.
