INDONESIA’S ECONOMIC RESILIENCE AND STRATEGIC GROWTH DRIVE AMID GLOBAL RISKS

Despite global challenges like geopolitics, proteksionisme, and AI advancements, Indonesia’s economy grew by 5.45% in H1 2026, supported by controlled inflation (2.88%) and strong credit growth (12.67%). To sustain momentum and counter risks like El Niño, the government is accelerating strategic growth engines. Key initiatives include developing AI and semiconductor ecosystems through partnerships with ARM, pushing digital transformation via the DEFA framework, expanding international trade agreements like CPTPP, and progressing in OECD accession. Additionally, Indonesia is expanding nickel-based EV ecosystems, boosting coconut processing, and advancing B50 energy programs. As a founding member of the World AI Collaboration Organization, Indonesia expects $8–12 billion in AI investments through 2030.Source: https://www.ekon.go.id/publikasi/detail/7072/jaga-momentum-pertumbuhan-pemerintah-perkuat-hilirisasi-industri-strategis-dan-ekonomi-digital (ICE GIACARTA)
