INDONESIAN GOVERNMENT LAUNCHES STRATEGIC PROGRAMS TO BOOST MARITIME AND FISHERIE

The Indonesian government is accelerating strategic maritime and fisheries initiatives to drive economic growth and reduce import dependency. Key programs include modernizing 4,582 fishing vessels by 2029 (targeting 50 units in 2026) to boost capture production by 2.3 million tons annually and create 89,000 jobs.
