Kazakhstan seeks UK expertise, investment for energy projects - Energy MinistryKazakh Deputy Energy Minister Yerlan Akbarov discussed energy cooperation with UK Trade Envoy to Central Asia, Lord John Alderdice, the Kazakh Energy Ministry said.The meeting in Astana focused on cooperation in renewable energy, including hydropower, as well as green hydrogen and other clean energy projects, the ministry said.Akbarov said Kazakhstan is interested in attracting British expertise, technological know-how and investment for energy projects. The two sides also discussed cooperation on modern technology, financing and the development of cross-border power connections.They also discussed preparations for a capacity-building seminar on cross-border power connections set for November.The sides agreed to expand British business participation and pursue mutually beneficial investment projects in the energy sector.
