Kazakhstan shipped 10 mln tonnes of oil to Germany in 2025, ready to continue – TokayevKazakhstan shipped more than 10 million tonnes of oil to Germany last year and is ready to keep supplying given its transport capacity, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said."In 2025, our oil supplies to Germany exceeded 10 million tonnes. We are ready to continue responsibly fulfilling this mission given our existing transport capabilities," Tokayev wrote in an article for the German newspaper Handelsblatt.The article was published ahead of Tokayev's official visit to Germany, where he arrived Monday.Kazakhstan shipped 2.1 million tonnes of oil to the Schwedt refinery in Germany via the Druzhba pipeline in 2025, according to earlier reports. The republic had planned to export about 3 million tonnes via that route in 2026. However, Russia suspended transit of Kazakh oil via the Druzhba system to Germany in May of this year.Kazakhstan shipped 1.02 million tonnes of oil to Germany via Druzhba from January to April 2026. Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhenov said supplies via the route will not resume in the next three months — September, October and November. (ICE ALMATY)
