UKRAINE ADVANCES EU INTEGRATION BY ALIGNING BANKING REGULATION WITH EU STANDARDS
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has approved new rules to further align Ukraine’s banking regulation with EU legislation. The changes update banks’ remuneration policies and prudential disclosure requirements. Banks may now increase the maximum variable component of employee remuneration to up to 200% of fixed pay, subject to shareholder approval and additional safeguards. The NBU also extended by one year the deadlines for banks to prepare internal procedures and publish prudential disclosure reports. New standardized templates for remuneration disclosures were introduced to improve transparency and comparability across the banking sector. The changes were approved by NBU resolutions No. 113 and No. 114 on 24 September 2026.https://bank.gov.ua/ua/news/all/zrobleno-chergovi-kroki-dlya-nablijennya--bankivskogo-regulyuvannya-do-vimog-yevropeyskogo-zakonodavstva# (ICE KIEV)
