PROJECTED ECONOMIC REBOUND: UAE EYES 2027 GROWTH SURGE

Speaking at the Future Hospitality Summit World, UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri announced that 2027 will serve as a "counter-attack year" marked by a strong economic rebound following a period of slower growth caused by regional conflict. Supported by IMF projections of a 3.1% real GDP growth as tourism, property, and trade normalize, the UAE aims to reach 40 million hotel guests by 2031, addressing current capacity demands beyond its existing 216,000 hotel keys. To boost tourism and extend visitors' stays across all seven emirates, the government recently introduced the "UAE Grand Tour," a nationwide, 11-day curated travel scheme, while inviting hospitality partners to integrate their offerings onto the platform.
