Ukraine and the European Commission held a coordination meeting on 6 October 2026 to review progress in meeting EU accession benchmarks under Cluster 4, “Green Agenda and Sustainable Connectivity.”The discussions focused on Chapters 14, “Transport Policy,” and 27, “Environment and Climate Change.” Ukraine presented progress on climate policy, biodiversity, air quality, water management, waste, chemicals, and industrial pollution.The sides also discussed legislative reforms, environmental monitoring systems, institutional capacity, and the development of a national greenhouse gas emissions trading system.
