Lithuania has signed a cooperation agreement with Mach Industries, a US defence technology company developing advanced unmanned aviation, space and defence systems. The agreement was signed by the Ministers of Economy and Innovation and National Defence during their visit to the United States.The cooperation covers the possible establishment of a company branch in Lithuania and the creation of capabilities for the assembly, integration or production of advanced systems and components. Mach Industries has already demonstrated its autonomous vertical take-off and landing platform Viper in Lithuania during exercises at the Rūdninkai military training ground.According to the Ministry of Economy and Innovation, the agreement could help strengthen Lithuania’s defence-industrial capacity and create new opportunities for engineers and suppliers. The initiative also reflects Lithuania’s wider efforts to attract investment in advanced defence technologies and industrial production. (ICE VARSAVIA)
