BIO FARMA STRENGTHENS GLOBAL REACH AND NATIONAL HEALTH RESILIENCE THROUGH Export and Innovation

State-owned life science company Bio Farma achieved cumulative exports exceeding Rp10 trillion between 2021 and 2025, reaching over 150 countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas. Supported by an annual production capacity of 3.1 billion doses and 20 WHO-prequalified products, the company has exported over 90 billion vaccine doses since entering the international market in 1997. In recognition of its strategy to expand global access through trade agreements, Bio Farma received the "FTA User Exporter" award at the 41st Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI). Commercial Director Fitri Puspadewi highlighted that optimizing Free Trade Agreements remains a key strategy to boost product competitiveness, widen market access, and enhance Indonesia's role in the global health supply chain.Alongside its international success, Bio Farma continues to strengthen national health independence by advancing local manufacturing and technology transfers. Notable technological achievements include Bio-TCV (a typhoid conjugate vaccine approved by BPOM) and Bio-RV (a neonatal rotavirus vaccine developed with Australia's Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, which obtained its BPOM marketing authorization on September 2, 2026). These advancements reduce Indonesia's reliance on imported vaccines while maintaining high-quality, competitively priced supplies. As part of the Danantara Indonesia ecosystem, Bio Farma aligns its global expansion and domestic innovation to drive sustainable export growth, support TEI’s $17.5 billion trade target, and fortify national health security.Source: https://www.antaranews.com/berita/5791429/bio-farma-raih-primaniyarta-ke-12-tegaskan-daya-saing-ekspor-produk-kesehatan-indonesia (ICE GIACARTA)
