PRESIDENT PRABOWO RECEIVES INDONESIA’S 5.45 PERCENT ECONOMIC GROWTH REPORT
President Prabowo Subianto has received a report showing that Indonesia’s economy grew by 5.45 percent, outperforming the global average and ranking among the strongest performers in both the G20 and ASEAN. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto highlighted a range of positive indicators, including inflation of 3.28 percent within the government’s target range, a manufacturing PMI of 52.4 indicating expansion, a trade surplus of US$7.25 billion, and a consumer confidence index of 118.1. He also noted that unemployment had fallen to 4.65 percent, the lowest level since 1994, while income inequality improved as reflected in a lower Gini ratio. The report also showed strong fiscal and financial stability. The state budget deficit remained manageable at around 1.25 percent of GDP, while foreign exchange reserves reached US$146.3 billion, sufficient to cover 6.5 months of imports. In the banking sector, credit growth reached 13.65 percent year-on-year, supported by strong capital levels and low non-performing loans. According to the government, these results demonstrate the resilience of Indonesia’s economy and provide a solid foundation for sustaining growth momentum through continued investment, industrial expansion, and measures to support consumer purchasing power.Source: https://rri.co.id/en/business/2840622/president-prabowo-receives-indonesias-545-percent-economic-growth-report (ICE GIACARTA)
