Kazakhstan raises vegetable oil output 25% in first nine months to 827,800 tonnesKazakhstan produced 166,800 tonnes more vegetable oil in January-September 2026 than a year earlier, bringing output to 827,800 tonnes, the national statistics bureau said.The increase was 25.2%. The bureau is part of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms.The main producing regions were East Kazakhstan, Abai, North Kazakhstan and Akmola, along with the cities of Almaty and Shymkent.Vegetable oil imports in January-August totaled 128,300 tonnes, down 6.4% from a year earlier.Exports in the same period rose 39.7% from a year earlier, to 704,700 tonnes.Domestic sales of vegetable oil in January-August were 176,900 tonnes.
