Yaràkä create spellbinding, trance-inducing music paying homage to Taranto’s rich history as a cultural crossroads, while seeking to re-awaken awareness of the importance of a more direct communication between humanity and the natural world, a dialogue that is increasingly obscured and ignored by modernity.

Ethnical roots, deeply related to the heart of popular south italian folk music, mixed with contemporary electronic sounds of loop station and synth. Above all, voices, voices, voices. Ra di spina is a vocal-centred project founded by Laura Cuomo, vocalist and researcher.
